Oral cancer on rise among kids

Mumbai: A report has found that dental decay and onset of oral cancer was on the rise among kids. While 92% students recently examined inhealth camps were found to be suffering from dental decay, 60 to 80% were addicted to tobacco products, stated a note circulated at the cabinet meet on Wednesday. 

    Indicating a rise in addiction to tobacco products in the 14-16 group, the note claimed to have detected rise in onset of oral cancer. The cabinet has approved an Rs 87 crore plan to upgrade dental health.
